World Oral Health Day 2020
«Say Ahh! Unite for mouth health» is this year's message of the Hellenic Dental Association (EOO), on the occasion of the World Oral Health Day celebrated on March 20.
The EOO wants to encourage people to stop neglecting their oral
health, emphasizing that oral health is inextricably linked to
general health. According to the World Health Organization, oral
health is one of the elements that determine a person's overall
health and quality of life. Therefore, by keeping their mouths
healthy, citizens keep their bodies healthy too!
How can they achieve this? With systematic oral and dental care. Brushing your teeth twice a day, flossing once a day, and arranging preventive check-ups at least once a year can help prevent tooth decay and gingivitis, help diagnose general illnesses, and keep you healthy with a beautiful smile!
This year's World Oral Health Day should be the starting point for reflection and on March 20, all Greeks should promise that in 2020 they will find time for their dentist and take better care of their mouths!
